Volunteering

As we grow, the Iowa Transportation Museum will need the help of volunteers for many important tasks. Assisting with tours, spending time in the Restoration Lab, or touring the grounds as a re-enactor, perhaps portraying one of the Duesenberg Brothers or Amelia Earhart, are just a few examples. Please contact us and tell us about yourself and what part of the transportation field you find of interest.

Need a Program?

The Executive Director and members of the Board of Directors are available to speak to service clubs and other community groups. We have a variety of program topics that match the interests of all groups, whether or not they have a special interesty in the field of transportation. To check on availability, contact Executive Director, Chuck Brooke at 641-236-9860 or cbrooke@Iowatransportationmuseum.org.

Mission Statement
Moving people, goods and ideas is essential to creating any vibrant culture. The Iowa Transportation Museum explores the evolution of transportation in Iowa, making it come alive to enhance our understanding of how transportation systems and workers contribute to the culture and quality of life we enjoy.
